The perfect snack for the kids, or when you have guests over. They can be prepared ahead of time and frozen. Just remove from freezer when you wish to eat/serve by frying them in hot oil until golden brown.

Ingredients

Cream cheese(room temperature)
100g
Mentaiko
2 tbsp
Finely chopped shiso leaf
2 tbsp
Wonton or gyoza wrappers
12 wraps
Oil for frying

Directions

  1. Combine/mix together, cream cheese, mentaiko and chopped shiso.
  2. Chill in refrigerator for 15 minutes or freezer for 3 minutes.
  3. Wrap a dollop of mixture into wrappers and fold to your liking, seal with dabs of water.
  4. Heat oil for frying
  5. Drop parcels into oil until golden brown.

Remarks

**mixture is easier to handle after it has been chilled
**can be made ahead of time and freezed
**oil can be hotter than usual when frying because everything is cooked. You only need to fry until the wrapper is golden brown.
