Perfect for appetizer or entree. These make for great party bites or as a light snack/meal. Eat with rice or wrapped in lettuce for a low carb alternative.

Ingredients

Yuzu sardine
1 pack
Thai basil chopped finely
2 tsp
Kaffir lime leaf chopped finely
1 tsp
Minced onions
2 tbsp
Fish sauce
2 tsp
Egg, beaten
1
Panko
Cooking oil

Directions

  1. Drain sardines, mash with a fork.
  2. Add chopped basil, lime leaf, onions, fish sauce and 2 tbsps beaten egg, mix thoroughly to combine.
  3. Add 2 tbsp panko to mixture
  4. Form patties and chill for 20-30 minutes in refrigerator.
  5. When ready to cook, use remainder beaten egg to coat the patties, coat with panko and lightly fry on medium heat until golden brown.
